Our Story
FINDING A WAY TO GIVE BACK TO THE YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY WAS KEY
It was 2012 and I had a vision to give back to the youth in our community through mentorship and support. After several years of serving as Director of the Mentorship Ministry in a local church, I became frustrated because I had a desire to do more. Determined to make an even bigger impact, in 2016 I began attempting to start a mentoring program at a local elementary school. It took me 9 months to get into the school system to start a mentoring program. The door was shut on several occasions. Why do you want to do this, what’s the catch, how are you benefiting from this, this doesn’t make sense, are you crazy, we don’t trust you. After getting everything checked out, background & credentials checked over and over I was finally able to start the program! Through this trying time and with a determination to make a difference to encourage, inspire, and motivate our youth, the thought of Lion Heart Unlimited was conceived through prayer.
I COULDN’T FIND AN APPAREL BRAND THAT SPOKE TO MY PERSONAL VALUES
Lion Heart Unlimited was born out of struggle to find a brand that possessed a positive message but also one that could encourage, inspire, and motivate myself, other human beings, and especially the youth we mentor to work to fulfill our potential as human beings and individuals through service to our Creator, our gifts, our ideas, our dreams, our goals, our community, & our neighbor. I believed it was needed and we all deserved something.
IT WAS TIME FOR AN APPAREL BRAND THAT WAS ICONIC, ENCOURAGING, INSPIRATIONAL, & MOTIVATIONAL
I immediately went to work. Starting with a logo that upon being seen would hopefully inspire, encourage, and motivate us as individuals to strive to become more. What better choice than the king of the jungle, one of the most ferocious and majestic beasts to ever walk the earth. Along with biblical ties to the Son of God as the Lion of Judah. Lion Heart Unlimited was birth. After our iconic logo was finally completed, I spent months designing and searching for quality materials and manufacturers that could bring my vision for apparel to life. I wanted every piece of apparel to be quality and something I could be proud of.
OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE A WORLD WHERE EVERY HUMAN BEING IS CONFIDENT AND COMFORTABLE WITH WHO THEY ARE AND STRIVING TO BECOME WHO THEY ARE MEANT TO BE
Our Ethos is “Own Your Story and Show Your Heart!” and "We would rather Build A HERO than allow society to create a villain!"
We believe in impacting the lives of children through mentoring and we designate proceeds from our store towards youth mentoring.
